This has been many years in the making. I’ve always wanted to dabble in Junior Fiction and I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve just signed a contract for three chapter books to be published in 2025.

I’m excited about this new series of books to be published in a single volume titled ‘Magic & Mischief’ for young readers making the move into chapter books for the first time, like me!!!

Magic weaves throughout these fun stories. One of the chapter books was the premises for my picture book The Storytellers.

I think it’s important to challenge yourself as a writer and try different writing styles. It helps us to know ourselves better, build curiosity and spark our creativity.

]]><![CDATA[Book Week 2023 - It's a Wrap!]]>Sun, 27 Aug 2023 01:09:18 GMThttps://www.robertvescio.com/blog/book-week-2023-its-a-wrapI love this time of year when I get to visit schools to celebrate books and inspire a love of reading and writing.

I visited many schools and presented to hundreds of children and I hope I’ve inspired a new generation of readers to follow their dreams and to never give up.

It was great to end Book Week with a visit to my old primary school, Punchbowl Public School. I was overwhelmed by the warm welcome waiting for me as soon as I walked through the gates. Children greeted me, shook my hand and congratulated me. The day was a roller coaster of emotions.

Huge thanks to the all the amazing teacher librarians. I admire the way they give their all in everything they do. It's a testament to their love and dedication.
